A Ray White office that rocketed up the Top 50 Sales Offices ranking this year has explained how it provides a holistic service to its staff that promotes a healthy lifestyle and mental wellbeing.

Ray White Robina’s chief executive said a key to the office’s success is the way it looks after its staff.

“When people want to be at work rather than out of work, they become more productive,” Scott Burgess told REB.

Mr Burgess said that as part of creating a vibrant culture for its staff at work, the agency regularly delivers training to cover issues that go beyond the world of real estate.

“We have external trainers that come in every week. We have an office boot camp that we put on for the team every Thursday morning where we have a personal trainer come in at six o’clock,” he said.

Staff also receive training and support to help them make important lifestyle choices.

“We also get people in to talk about health and fitness so the staff understand about a healthy diet, the best way to exercise, the best time to exercise, how to invest their money, what things to be looking for in terms of superannuation and tax depreciation,” he said.

The agency also has an indoor cricket team and hosts quarterly awards and dinners.

“The idea of really trying to build a culture in a business, more than anything else, harnesses great results,” he said.

Ray White Robina was ranked 7th in this year’s REB Top 50 Sales Offices, jumping 38 spots from 45th place last year.
