New York’s top agent to speak at AREC

He has sold more than US$2 billion of real estate. Now Australian real estate professionals will have the opportunity to hear the secrets to his success.

Frequently rated New York’s ‘Top Luxury Broker’ with Manhattan’s highly-respected luxury real estate firm Douglas Elliman, Fredrik Eklund has sold more than US$200 million this January alone and has worked with such celebrities as Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez.

As an international real estate icon and star of television’s Million Dollar Listing New York, Mr Eklund will share his secrets for reaching the top of the most competitive real estate market in the world.

He will be one of a handful of highly successful real estate agents speaking at the 2016 Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC).

The two-day event returns for its fifth year to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday May 22 and Monday May 23.

Under the direction of AREC founder John McGrath, this year’s event has been designed with the underlying theme of ‘Rainmakers’, with 35 world-class speakers set to impart their knowledge on how agents can be at the forefront of business and master change themselves.

“It’s not about breaking the rules any more, it’s about making new ones,” Mr McGrath said.

“AREC 2016 brings together a hand-selected group of visionaries who are shaping the real estate industry by disrupting the status quo. In the past we’ve asked you to be 'Agents of Change'. Now we’re going to help you become ‘The Rainmaker’ by arming you with strategies, knowledge, case studies and tips to make the rules and create new pathways to success, both for yourself and your clients.

“We are thrilled to have assembled 12 of the most professional female salespeople to be part of the speaker line-up at AREC 2016,” he added.

This year the event will also embrace ‘The Power of the Female’ as three of the most dynamic women in real estate share a panel.

This year’s program will focus on five major themes which will be at the core of the content delivered over the two days. These themes will teach delegates how to harness greater opportunities in every market condition and include:

 - Negotiation
 - Listing mastery
 - Profitable time management
 - Social and digital media game changes
 - Team building and people management

Opening the conference will be one of the world’s leading authorities on the subject of 'Mind Power and Personal Mastery', Robin Banks.

Mr Banks said during his keynote speech his key message will be that everyone of us has unlimited power at our disposal – the power to control and direct our thoughts.

“By consciously choosing your thoughts you create your life,” he said.

“My mission is to be a catalyst for people to recognise their own greatness, take charge of their lives and create a powerful future for themselves and their community.”
