One of Australia’s leading property platforms has strengthened its partnership with an online booking system to make the property sourcing and inspection process simpler for buyers, tenants, agents and property managers.

Speaking at AREC 2016, realestate.com.au announced it has launched an expanded partnership with InspectRealEstate to include the online inspection booking feature on properties listed for sale, as well as for rent.

The move will see InspectRealEstate’s RegisterOnline feature integrated with all realestate.com.au listings, allowing property seekers to pre-register for an inspection and be notified via email and/or SMS if there are any changes to inspection times.

Commenting on the expansion, Andrew Rechtman, executive general manager for realestate.com.au, said the move had been driven by consumer demand for more efficient solutions to managing property appointments.

“InspectRealEstate is the leading industry product and we’re excited to be expanding our partnership,” he said.

“Since integrating the feature into our rental listings last year, we’ve already seen more than 915,000 inspections booked by prospective tenants.

“It’s terrific to see that we can now roll out this functionality to make searching for property that little bit easier for buyers as well,” he said.

InspectRealEstate chief executive Andrew Reece said the mutually beneficial partnership has already proven to be of significant assistance to those in the property market.

“We’re really excited to be expanding our services with realestate.com.au,” he said.

“Since we launched our partnership last year, almost 50 per cent of our bookings have been made through the RegisterOnline feature integrated on real.estate.com.au.

“It’s great to see that we’ve already helped thousands of tenants and property managers and we’re confident that the feature will also be incredibly useful to buyers and selling agents,” Mr Reece said.
