One of Victoria’s largest real estate agencies is set to launch its own accredited training arm for those wishing to pursue a career in property.

In conjunction with Melbourne-based registered training organisation SkilledUp, the hockingstuart Academy is set to offer a range of accredited qualifications, including the Agent’s Representative Certificate and Full Licence Certificate for those looking to start a career in real estate.

The Academy will also provide training programs for real estate professionals looking to improve their skills.

Hockingstuart CEO Simon Jovanovic explained that the Agent’s Representative Certificate can be completed in five days, and with after-hours class times it is flexible for those with work commitments.

“Students will have access to employment opportunities at our extensive network and be supported throughout their career with further training and development,” Mr Jovanovic added.

Hockingstuart St Kilda director Sam Inan said the academy will help to provide opportunities for those looking to move into real estate.

“I made the transition into real estate after 10 years growing a national car wash franchise, so I understand how skills in sales, retail and hospitality can translate to our industry,” Mr Inan said.

“I often see many candidates from these fields apply for agent or property management positions, so it’s fantastic to be able to support them with training to come into our industry,” he said.

The first Agent’s Representative Certificate course launched yesterday.
