One of Australia’s most recognised real estate agencies has assembled a dynamic schedule of speakers for its upcoming conference, to be headlined by one of the country’s most eminent people.

Australian of the Year in 2016 and former Australian Chief of Army, retired Lieutenant-General David Morrison AO, will lead LJ Hooker’s international showcase event in Cairns, Summit16.

As the current chair of the Diversity Council Australia, Lieutenant-General Morrison will discuss leadership, the challenges of change and how individuals can determine whether they are maximising their potential – both professional and personal.

The conference will cover all aspects of business, including personal and professional motivation, industry tech, customer experience and developing a winning culture.

It will also reveal LJ Hooker’s blueprint and planned innovations for the year ahead.

About 800 franchise owners are expected to attend the event, including residential and commercial property agents, property investment managers and loan finance specialists.

LJ Hooker’s head of customer experience Leanne Howard said the group recognises the need to be exposed to business expertise outside of its industry to gain competitive advantage.

“We are firmly focused on creating the ultimate customer experience by finding ways to make our customers’ journey as easy as possible and nurturing relationships beyond the property transaction,” she added.

“This is the key message in many of the conference sessions.”

Other speakers include growth and change specialist Dominic Thurbon, digital veteran Steve Carroll from REA Group, head of real estate at Macquarie Bank Dan

Evans and the inspirational Jacqui Cooper, Australia’s most successful competitive aerial skier.

Summit16 will also feature influencers from within the real estate industry and from LJ Hooker’s own network.

The conference’s theme is 'the courage to create change', and it will include a gala dinner.

Summit16 will run from 14 to 16 August.
