One of Australia’s leading residential real estate groups has reinforced its confidence in the Melbourne market by opening two new franchises in the city’s eastern suburbs.

McGrath opened offices in Blackburn and Box Hill, bringing the company’s total office count in Melbourne to eight.

McGrath founder and executive director John McGrath said entering the Victorian market has been an exciting and important move for the company.

“Melbourne is one of the most dynamic property markets in Australia and we are thrilled with our progress to date and the sales results achieved over the past 12 months, Mr McGrath said.

“I believe Melbourne and Sydney are the ‘New York of Australia’ and will be in huge demand as far into the distance as I can possibly see. While Sydney has traditionally led the way, Melbourne is more attractive than ever before due to its superior value for money, strong population growth and reputation as the world’s most liveable city.

“As we continue to grow our footprint in Victoria, it remains important that we select partners who share the same philosophies of sales excellence and customer service focus. I believe we have done so with all of our Melbourne franchise partners and I look forward to growing our business further in this important market.”

McGrath Blackburn will service Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South, Nunawading, Mitcham, Forest Hill, Vermont, Vermont South and Burwood East.

McGrath Box Hill will service Burwood, Box Hill South, Box Hill and Box Hill North.

McGrath Blackburn will be led by principals Harry Kyriakou and Grant Lynch. Mr Kyriakou will also run the new McGrath Box Hill office.
