One of the fastest-growing real estate groups in Queensland has announced its top-performing agents for the state, and the results threw up a few surprises.

In a major changing of the guard, Jamie Wilmen of Raine & Horne Pottsville/Cabarita Beach was named Raine & Horne’s best sales agent for dollar value and number of sales in 2016.

Raine & Horne Pottsville/Cabarita is led by Vanessa Rhodes, who switched her office to Raine & Horne in 2014.

Raine & Horne executive chairman Angus Raine praised Ms Rhodes’ influence on the business.

“Over the past three years, Vanessa has cultivated a winning sales and property management team, which includes high-flyers such as Jamie,” Mr Raine said.

Other 2016 Raine & Horne award winners include Lisa Palmer, from Raine & Horne Charters Towers who won the Top Salesperson (Principal) Sales category.

Margaret Vote, principal of Raine & Horne Wynnum/Manly won the dollar value category for principals.

“I was delighted to see hardworking Lisa back on the winner’s podium and her win proves there is life back in the Charters Towers real estate market, thanks to the combination of additional mining and ethanol projects, which will deliver plenty of jobs to the region,” Mr Raine said.

In the competitive Top Office (Number of Sales) category, Raine & Horne Toowoomba took first place.

The team led by Andrew Lynch, was also Raine & Horne’s best Queensland office for dollar value sales. Raine & Horne Toowoomba was also recognised for Property Management Marketing Excellence.

Mr Raine said Raine & Horne is the fastest-growing network in Queensland.

In addition to the Pottsville/Cabarita Beach office, the group opened offices in 18 new locations in 2016, including Redcliffe, Banora Point, Springwood, Goodna, Springfield and Ipswich.

The award ceremony, which attracted a record 370 attendees, was held last week at Jupiters Hotel on the Gold Coast.
