Winning REB Award ‘priceless’, says Newcomer of the Year

Realmark Central’s Brad Triplett says winning the Newcomer of the Year award at the REB Awards last year has been “priceless”, providing significant ammunition for him to grow his business over the last 12 months.

Mr Triplett says the honour has boosted his business, with his gross commission rising from $400,000 to $600,000.

“It has been one of the driving forces behind that growth. It is something that I have been able to market off the back of and put on a lot of my promotional material,” he said.

Mr Triplett said he has successfully built key corporate relationships since winning the award.

“One of those has been the Department of Housing who has a first home buyer program where they offer properties to people looking to enter the market,” he said.

“Basically, they have chosen myself as their lead agent to sell all of their properties in and around the city. Having the REB Award credentials certainly has been something that has helped in securing that relationship.”

Mr Triplett said the award has given him a greater business footprint.

“Being an inner city agent means I don’t actually meet a lot of the clients in my marketplace face-to-face,” he said.

“A lot of my clients are based overseas or interstate so when people interview me, it is via the internet or by the promotional material I am sending out. To be able to have those REB Award winner credentials on things like my website or my marketing material is invaluable.”
