How big data can win you more listings

An award-winning and innovative business is changing the way agency sales and marketing reports are viewed, and agents are taking notice.

Real Insights uses award-winning methods to effectively access targeted and specific sales data for agents which can use the information as part of their presentation pitch to potential clients.

Real Insights’ methods allow for the creation of detailed sales figures for the agent to present to clients. The data can be segmented and analysed to differentiate the agent and agency from the competition in three ways through their products Agent Flight, Buyer Market Report and Agency Report.

Agent Flight can create a presentation by using pre-designed templates, and data mines to create a comprehensive, branded report. Buyer Market Report can create a report based on area statistics that integrates past sales and selling points of interest. Agency Reporter allows agents to automate their monthly achievements and divides the data using variables such as areas, trends and sales targets.

“It’s a much more targeted approach that allows the vendor to really comprehend just how well an agent or agency has done compared to others, which helps them make a more informed choice,” Real Insight director Patrick Hill said.

“What we wanted to do was build a very simple and automated tool providing data that actually had an impact on sales conversion rates. So far, the agencies who’ve used it, both big and small, have reported a much higher conversion rate profitability.”

Mr Hill said while distinct reports can help agents, being able to interpret that data and convey what the data means to a seller is another matter entirely.

“There’s no point in having great figures if you don’t know how to engage the seller,” he said.

In order to help agents engage sellers, Real Insights also provides training on how to best use that data.

“We train staff and conduct workshops instructing agents on how to effectively use the information with topics like what makes they special, how do they leverage their brand and the mindset of their vendor,” Mr Hill said.

Real Insights is only available to NSW agencies, but there are plans for Australia-wide services in the future.

Real Insights’ products have received recognition at the 2016 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales Awards for Excellence, winning the Innovation Award in conjunction with Raine & Horne Terrigal. It was nominated for the same category at the 2017 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales Awards for Excellence.
