A new property management Facebook group has been described as a “pool of minds” by one of the group’s administrators.

According to the Australian Property Manager Community founder Clare Verrall, the page offers property managers from across the country a place to discuss day-to-day issues in the job, find support and network.

“The group is really a pool of minds and a place for support for one another,” she told Residential Property Manager.

“Property managers don’t tend to network as much as sales do.

“I thought it was important to build a nationwide community that all property managers could use to discuss relevant industry matters, and when necessary, vent.

“Property management is really a tough, thankless job so having a forum full of like minded people, who are experiencing what you are experiencing on a daily basis, is a great outlet.”

With over 600 members less than three months after its inception, Ms Verrall, who is a senior recruitment consultant at Design & Build, said she was pleased with how the group was tracking, however she endeavors to grow the community even further.

“We want to keep adding to the group,” she said.

“The more people, the more of a think tank it will become and the more everyone will get out of it.

“Down the track I would love to see the forum used to improve the industry.”

The community is a closed group to only property managers, principals, service providers and those directly related to the industry.
