The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) has teamed up with Rockend to provide property managers with a seamless experience on the REST platform.
Speaking with Real Estate Business, CEO of the REINSW Tim McKibbin said the new partnership was a great addition for members.
“Our FormsLive product, which I would argue quite strongly [includes] the best agency agreement forms in the market, have integrated fully with the REST product from Rockend.
“It’s going to enhance the experience, it addresses a lot of the human error issues because a lot of documentation will pre-populate, and it’s far more efficient,” Mr McKibbin said.
Scott Shepherd, head of product design at Rockend, said the new integration will provide property managers with a more efficient method to deal with agent and tenancy agreements.
“Anyone who is a current user of the FormsLive setup will be able to log in through REST and store their username and password, so at the click of a button they’ll be able to pull up their FormsLive account directly inside REST,” Mr Shepherd told Real Estate Business.
“It will automatically merge to any letter or template they’re currently using and any data they have stored that’s relevant to that template. So no logging in and reduced manual entering saves a lot of time.
“Also, once you’ve merged those forms, we’ve built in storage of the completed documents in the REST document management system and our FileSmart system. So with an extra click, you can save a copy and at another click you can publish them straight to the owner and tenant portals on the web.
“Within seconds of you completing that form you can have it published on the owners portal so they can view and download those documents.”
Mr McKibbin said he was excited at the new prospect, but added that for REINSW it is just the beginning.
“We’re enahncing our product offering and moving with the technology, so there’s a variety of other things that we’ll be doing in terms of integrations with various quality industry providers, such as Rockend, so that when agents use certain products they will have a seamless experience from one product to the next,” he said.
And while the service is exclusively for REINSW members at the moment, Mr Shepherd said Rockend is happy to support the entire industry.
“REINSW approached us about it when they were upgrading to their newest version of FormsLive. It’s always good to support the institutes - we would love to support them all - but at the moment it’s just NSW.”
