Portal adds key rental partnerships

By Andrew Jennings 23 April 2014 | 6 minute read

A new real estate website, combining Australia’s search experience with free property listings, has announced agreements with some of Australia’s largest rental property providers to add homes in key markets.

The agreement sees "Homely" connected with real estate groups Run Property, MICM, ParkTrent Properties Group, Melbourne Real Estate and Rentals Express, bringing thousands of new homes to the site from across Australia.

Matthew King, marketing executive at MICM Property, said: "We really like where Homely is going with displaying our properties. It's different to anything else, very consumer-focused and the added competition in real estate search is needed long term".

"With MICM and Melbourne Real Estate joining Homely, it boosts their offering in the Melbourne inner-city rental market," Mr King said.

"The addition of Run Property and ParkTrent will display the property managers across various states of Australia and Rentals Express, the largest privately-owned property management business in Queensland, will add further listings to the north of Australia.

Homely CEO Jason Spencer said the nation's rental market was as important as the buying market.

"We understand people's housing arrangements change, and the ability to have immediately available rentals viewable on Homely.com.au is essential to the service we are attempting to offer.

“Homely is well and truly here, and we are in full motion. We never anticipated such early success, but the response by agents shows that what we are doing will ultimately benefit both agents, with much needed competition, and consumers with a cleaner user experience.”
