A Mackay tenant has been found guilty of common assault after seeking out and attacking her landlord.
Krystel Louise Paulson walked through the back door of a Mackay fish and chip shop looking for her landlord.
She'd been drinking vodka and when a staff member asked her to leave she became aggressive, as reported by the Daily Mercury.
Ms Paulson yelled in the woman's face and wouldn't leave when asked.
She then pushed the woman in the direction of a deep fryer, which was filled with hot oil, the Mackay Magistrates Court was told.
Prosecutor Michael Ball said the woman was uninjured but had been left shaken by the attack.
Ms Paulson pleaded guilty to common assault.
While in the court room, Ms Paulson repeatedly interrupted Magistrate Damien Dwyer during sentencing and almost spent half a day in custody for her efforts.
"You've got a very bad attitude," Mr Dwyer said.
"Keep your fists to yourself ... this sort of behaviour just simply won't be tolerated."
Ms Paulson was fined $1,250 and ordered to pay $250 in compensation. No conviction was recorded.
