The Real Estate Institute of South Australia has voted previous president Greg Moulton as incoming president of the group, replacing outgoing and current president Ted Piteo.

Mr Moulton was president of the REISA between 2011 and 2013. He is also chief executive officer of Harris Real Estate.

Immediate outgoing president Ted Piteo, chief executive officer of the Professionals South Australia, said he will continue giving guidance and remain on the board as a director.

“I’m here to guide the new president, and pass on the experience of being in the limelight,” Mr Piteo joked.

“I’ve been there for four years, so it's time to pass it on to the younger guys.

“If I have one thing to reflect on it’s good to see people on the board who are savvy with information technology actively using the stuff.”

REISA CEO Greg Troughton said Mr Piteo's past work is to be commended.

“Ted’s passion and commitment to the real estate industry is without question and his work as president over the last year is to be commended,” Mr Troughton said.

“It’s an exciting time for the industry and REISA is moving forward in leaps and bounds in terms of training, documentation and advocacy.”

Joining Mr Moulton is Alex Ouwens as vice president. Two board director vacancies were also filled by Andrew Turner and Phil Harris, replacing Tony Rickets and Mark Sanderson.

Mr Piteo said the breath of fresh air coming on board is a really good thing for the local real estate industry.

“It’s good to have a breath of fresh air and a constant turnover of people because I don’t like living in history,” Mr Piteo said.
