A peak industry body is launching a free property management on-the-spot support service for members, which will be up and running in early 2015.

Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) said the free Property Management Support Service, beginning 5 January 2015, will quickly become a "highly prized benefit for members".

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the service will be staffed by a team of experienced property management experts available to respond to queries via phone, email or online at a members-only website.

“This new service, exclusive to REIQ members, will be the first port of call for property managers who need specialist advice on agency-related matters,” Ms Mercorella said.

“Whether it’s understanding residential tenancy legislation, resolving a maintenance issue or assisting with document completion, our experts are just a phone call away.

“The team consists of well-known, approachable, caring and highly experienced property managers who can provide practical on-the-spot advice. They know exactly what property managers are dealing with, because they've been there and done it themselves.”

Ms Mercorella said the new service was available at no additional cost to REIQ individual members, accredited agencies and their staff.
