Nicknamed ‘The Wedge’, this teeny, tiny house measuring just over one metre wide is on the market.

Located on the Isle of Cumbrae in Scotland, the house measures 119 centimetres across at its narrowest point and is asking for offers above £85,000 ($167,000).

A potential buyer will also gain bragging rights for owning the world’s narrowest house, according to the Guinness Book of Records.

Shaped like a wedge of cheese, the one-bedroom home’s narrowest section is at the front of the house, with the street façade only just fitting a front door.

According to Secret Scotland, it's 6.7 metres long and 3.35 metres wide at its widest point.

In 2002 it advertised for rent from £275 ($540) a week, having been sold in 2001 after being advertised at £27,000 ($53,000).

The home, at 50 Stuart Street, has uninterrupted sea views and double glazing.
