By depositing $6,000 per night into Leonardo DiCaprio’s wealthy coffers, you could be the proud tenant of his Palm Springs compound.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom property was bought by Leo last year for $6.73 million.

It is set on 5,260 square metres and features a pool, tennis court and detached gym.

According to ninemsn, Leo is renting the property, located in the Old Las Palmas neighbourhood, for a mere $5,830 a night while he films The Revenant.

The area was once the stomping ground of stars such as Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe.

The 1965 property was designed for late show-biz all-rounder Dinah Shore by Donald Wexler, and has the trademark mid-century Mad Men feel.

Have a look below to see how lush life in the desert can really be.
