My landlord that I had looked after for 25 years passed away. The family showed their appreciation for looking after his assets, particularly when he would ring three or four times a day with the same question. In the mail arrived a travel voucher with funds sufficient to fly to Paris return as they knew that one day it was my wish to go there!quote marksAmanda Pearce

Trip in my landlord's private plane to his property out west, tour around his cattle farm and overnight stay with some of my colleagues. He was the best landlord ever.quote marksLoretta Morgan

Had a call from a landlord the other day requesting a copy of the management agency agreements. His next call was to ask if we could revise our management fee upwards. When the fresh agency agreements arrived at the office they were accompanied by a dinner voucher at a local restaurant. Good stuff. We don't see that every day.quote marks - Tom James

Bottle of Moët for 6 weeks of management! She was that frustrated with her current agent she asked me to manage it for just 6 weeks until it settled (already under contract). She agreed to a higher management fee given set up for such a short term. She also gave me a glowing reference.quote marksDeborah Daken

My landlord owned his own restaurant and my husband and I enjoyed a night of delicious food, expensive wine and our every need was waited on. No expense was spared but there was no cost to us. We felt like royalty: it was a wonderful way to be appreciated for all my hard work.quote marksMel Bussenschutt

Flowers for winning a tribunal case, a nice bottle of champagne on my wedding day, sent directly to the hotel we were staying at, gift vouchers at Christmas. But my favourite was a voucher to a hairdresser – I was telling a client how much I loved her hair and was promptly sent a voucher for a cut, colour and blow dry. Still go there!quote marksElizabeth Henley

After 13 years of managing her property with absolutely no dramas and good tenants, I contacted my owner to explain why my tenant was eight days in arrears and it may get worse. However, I knew she would understand why I felt that I couldn't send a NTR at this stage at least – the tenant's son had gone missing for (at that stage) three weeks! He has still not been found, even though they have had police and SES etc out there. She not only understood, but offered to allow my tenant a month's grace in rent so it was one thing the tenant didn't have to worry about. The tenant broke down when I passed this on and all she could say was that she was so worried about her rent because her car rego was due and she needed the car to look for her son!quote marksKate Wallis

Chocolates, flowers or bottles of wine are all lovely ways to say thanks. We want to know what is the nicest way you've been thanked by a landlord.
