An industry-focused event will be taking place in Perth next month to assist property managers in developing their skills and businesses.

Leading Property Managers of Australia executive director Bob Walters said the LPMA West Coast conference started after many WA property managers began attending the main annual conference on the Gold Coast.

“We have been asked countless times to bring the LPMA conference to the west coast as there is a great thirst for training in the PM space, and not always a lot of good professional development opportunities available to them,” he told RPM.

According to Mr Walters, the theme of this year’s west coast conference is ‘opportunity knocks’, which will focus on offering ideas and strategies to grow PM businesses in size efficiency and profitability.

“We have some of the best PM and general business thought leaders in Australia presenting at the conference,” he said.

“Plus the event will give delegates the opportunity to rub shoulders and network with some of the best PM business owners, business development managers and property managers in the country.”

Mr Walters said the conference not only offers property managers the chance to step away from the daily grind of work, but focus on developing themselves and their businesses.

“LPMA has always had the approach of providing maximum take home value with the content provided at its conferences,” he said.

“We stay away from legislative content and ‘technical’ skills, and focus on content that helps delegates grow their businesses, retain their clients long term and make more money.”

The LPMA West Coast 2015 conference will be on 5-6 November. Visit the website for more information.
