A rural Queensland town has just hit the market and costs less than the average Sydney home.

Allies Creek is 373 kilomteres north-west of Brisbane, and the entire 16-home town is for sale at $750,000, according to Mirror.

The town was bought at auction six years ago by Natali Williams and her late husband, who were originally there to buy some machinery.

Along with her five-year-old son, Ms Williams lives in the 40-acre town with 12 other tenants.

Included in the sale are the 16 individual houses (which are a combination of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes), three saw mills, a Telstra depot, a school hall, a dam and commercial equipment such as a 25-tonne excavator, a crane and a mulcher.
