A unique British property has just hit the market and features a sculpture of a shark diving into its roof.

Aside from the six-metre sculpture protruding from the terrace house’s roof, the property has three bedrooms, each with its own en suite, and is available for £2,400 ($4,600) per month, according to Mirror.

Homeowner Bill Heine commissioned the artwork 30 years ago but never got planning permission for the carbon fibre shark, resulting in a six-year battle with Oxford City Council.

The home, located in Headington, is one of the city’s most recognisable buildings as it features one of Oxford’s most well-known and appreciated pieces of art.

The listing notes that viewings are highly recommended, so that buyers can fully appreciate the novelty and value of the property.
