REA Group, owner and operator of realestate.com.au, will soon be launching a new connected marketplace, powered by its Property Platform software.

The new feature, which launches in beta in July, enables residential agents, project marketers and financial planners to connect with developers and builders and request access to sell off-the-plan properties.

With the new connected marketplace, developers will have the ability to expand beyond their own private sales networks to access a larger range of selling agents for their property.

The technology is designed much like a perfect match process, where only relevant projects are surfaced to the best suited agents, which is based on the agent profile and preferences completed by both the agents and developers.

REA Group executive general manager - residential Andrew Rechtman said the development would open new revenue avenues for agents.

“This new feature presents a great opportunity for residential agents who are keen to dip their toes into the off-the-plan sales market and expand their portfolios.

“With a connected marketplace, agents can broaden their network and gain access to new development projects and early off-market opportunities, which will make selling projects easier than ever.”

REA Group executive general manager - commercial & developer Joseph Lyons called the new platform “a matchmaker”, connecting developers with agents and facilitating the relationship to sell off-the-plan property.

“Developers can soon connect and engage with agents who are ready to sell their projects,” said Mr Lyons.
