McGrath Estate Agents has announced that a prestige agent will join its company-owned sales team of McGrath Lindfield, citing the “impressive” McGrath Future program as being behind his decision.

Glenn Curran will focus on the lucrative suburbs of Sydney’s upper north shore, specifically Lindfield, Roseville and Killara.

Pointing to the McGrath Future program, Mr Curran said that joining McGrath was the right decision.

“The McGrath Future program allows me to create income streams and at the same time continue to grow my business, service my customers and be a market leader with a well-established support team,” he said.

“I’ve been impressed for some time by the significant depth of talent, knowledge and experience at all levels of the business, but additionally the infrastructure provided by way of systems, training and support is exceptional.”

Mr Curran brings a wealth of experience gained from a distinguished career with the Australian Special Forces. After he was discharged, he held executive roles with international firms in the Middle East, negotiating multimillion-dollar construction contracts.

Since returning to Australia, he established independent agency Curran Property and has earned respect in his local area for his dedication and community spirit.

Head of company sales for McGrath Kon Stathopoulos said Mr Curran’s appointment adds significant impetus to the company’s growth strategy.

Mr Stathopoulos said the appointment is “strategically relevant”, adding that he is “delighted” to welcome Mr Curran to the team.

“McGrath has a strong presence in the suburbs north of the harbour and Glenn’s addition to our team will undoubtedly help us continue to grow our market share in a very important precinct of Sydney’s north shore,” he said.

Mr Stathopoulos added that Mr Curran has been on his radar for some time.

“We’ve been watching Glenn’s success in his local area and been highly impressed by his character, market knowledge and his interaction with both buyers and sellers.

“Glenn has run a very successful business for the last few years and we believe his contribution to McGrath will be significant.”

McGrath’s focus on Sydney’s upper north shore comes as the city goes through a slowdown. This is something both founder John McGrath and Mr Curran believe will be healthy for the Sydney market.

Mr Curran said auctions in the area are still attracting strong prices, although the number of registered bidders has fallen.

“Winter traditionally brings about fewer listings. However, I believe there will continue to be a strong appetite for upper north shore property, with most private schools increasing placements. This will in turn attract more families into the area,” he said.

Mr Curran has been involved in many important sales in the area, including a record $11.8 million sale in Wattle Street and a $5.45 million sale in Springdale Avenue, both in Killara.

A keen sportsman, Mr Curran is an active supporter and sponsor of Gordon Rugby Club and is committed to the development of local juniors across all sports.
