One leading group will launch its spring selling season with $40,000 worth of grants for grassroots sporting clubs.

Raine & Horne has unveiled its Local Hero campaign to underline its commitment to the communities that it services.

Executive chairman Angus Raine said that the initiative is an important one for both the group and the sporting clubs that will benefit from the grants.

“Our Local Hero campaign is a community-focused promotion that will support those sporting clubs achieving great things in their local communities,” he said.

“Grassroots sports are the lifeblood of many Australian communities, yet they are often forced to operate on the smell of any oily rag.

“We believe they deserve some financial support through our Local Hero campaign, which is our way of saying thank you for their community commitment.”

The Local Hero campaign will be supported by local area marketing including promotional window cards and digital displays in Raine & Horne offices; DL card promotional drops; and digital marketing on key sites, social media and electronic direct marketing.

“We have created some television advertisements to support the campaign, which will be rolled out soon,” Mr Raine said.

“All home owners must do to enter the Local Hero competition is list their homes exclusively with a local Raine & Horne agent before 16 November 2017. They will then go into the draw to win one of 16 $2,500 donations for their local, amateur, sporting team of choice.”
