One office in a leading network is convivial after being named Victoria’s top agency at the recent REIV Awards for Excellence event.
Professionals Methven Group – Mooroolbark is the REIV Large Residential Agency of the Year for 2017.
The victory follows the agency being named last week as Australia’s best performing sales office in the 300-strong Professionals Real Estate Group.
Methven Professionals Mooroolbark is headed by father-and-son team Geoff and Greg Earney.
Mr Greg Earney said that the agency had always strived to be an industry leader.
“We are always pioneering the use of new technologies and new methods in our efforts to deliver the best possible service for our clients,’’ the director said.
“We now have a full-time videographer working in the business and we also offer a concierge service, where one team member’s entire role is to simply help buyers and sellers after the sales contracts have been signed.”
Mr Earney said that the technology might have changed, but the company’s commitment to its clients has not.
“Our motto is ‘Always acting in the best interest of the client’,” the younger leader said.
“We take a very long-term view of the business, and we know that by looking after our clients, our staff and our community, our business will continue to grow and thrive.”
He also said that the agency had between 40 per cent and 50 per cent market share in many of the areas it services.
“We now have four offices, with our Mooroolbark office now having 60 team members and across the group we have just under 100 team members.
“We are very fortunate to have an excellent, tight-knit team. Our average length of service is now seven to eight years, and we have several team members who have been with us for more than 25 years.”
The agency was established in 1962 and has been operated by the Earney family since 1968.
