One fast-developing Victorian real estate agency has welcomed three offices to its network, and has a fourth on the way, in response to the rise in demand along the booming coastline market.

Hockingstuart has opened on the Bellarine Peninsula, Mount Eliza, Brighton and, later in the year, will open one in Bentleigh.

CEO Simon Jovanovic said that the four offices all play a part in hockingstuart’s overall growth strategy.

“The Mount Eliza and Bellarine offices are a direct response to the increased demand seen for homes in the growing coastal markets, while the Brighton and Bentleigh offices will continue to accommodate buyers in Melbourne’s blue-chip, inner-city bayside,” the CEO said.

“With hockingstuart offices spread throughout the state, our new additions reflect the network’s strength, breadth and depth across Victoria. Having a strong network of offices helps ensure we can support our vendors with a significant pool of buyers.”

The office on the Bellarine Peninsula joins the existing hockingstuart Geelong and Torquay offices in the area. It is expected to cater to heightened interest from buyers who are looking to Melbourne’s Surf Coast for affordable homes that are still close to businesses and amenities.

Mr Jovanovic said that the increase in demand has been reflected by a steady growth in median house prices increasing by 6 per cent over the past year.

He added that, on the other side of the city, buyers are also flocking beach-side, so it calls for a new office in the Mornington Peninsula’s Mount Eliza.

“The need for an office to service the area is clear, with homes in Mount Eliza receiving an average of 1,600 viewings per listing, more than double the entire state’s average,” the CEO said.

The Mount Eliza office joins four other offices along the Peninsula, strengthening hockingstuart’s presence from Frankston to Blairgowrie.

Mr Jovanovic said that the office will be led by “well-seasoned experts of the area” and former directors of the Peninsula’s Hall and Hall, Zoe King and Bill Joycey.

The Brighton office will be headed by senior sales consultant and auctioneer Peter Kennett.
