After 20 years in the business, a highly regarded independent firm on Sydney’s Lower North Shore will join forces with one of the industry’s most powerful brands, in a move that is expected to see the new office dominate its local catchment area.

Ferguson Property Agents in Cammeray will merge with Ray White Lower North Shore.

Justin and Sally Ferguson will rebrand their office to Ray White Ferguson (Cammeray) in February.

Ray White Group director Dan White said that he is “thrilled” to welcome Justin and Sally Ferguson to the group.

Mr White added that there are few people in real estate in Sydney with as much experience as Justin Ferguson.

Mr Ferguson is widely known as “the Cammeray specialist” for his unrivalled local knowledge, after founding his agency in 1998, the director said.

“We love the Lower North Shore’s ambition, enthusiasm and their leadership,” Mr White said.

“No doubt this will be a stylish transition for all involved.”

Mr Ferguson said that the decision to join a branded entity was driven by a strategic intent to remain relevant and grow market share.

“We can now use the platform we created to build a stronger business with the Ray White Group,” Mr Ferguson said.

“Our main objective is to provide certainty as well as career opportunities for our staff by creating a sustainable business underpinned by a powerful household name.

“Like us, Ray White is a family business with over 115 years’ experience.”

Ray White Lower North Shore directors Richard Harding and Geoff Smith said that the decision to merge was simple.

“We are a family-owned business, and so is Ferguson Property and so are the Whites,” Mr Harding said. “Justin is a local icon and Dan White has been instrumental in this alliance as it will be of benefit to us all.

“There is no doubt that this will create a stronger footprint in the Cammeray community.”
