The Agency has created a strategic link between the Southern Highlands and its Sydney markets with the appointment of a well-known local agent.

Ben Olofsen has joined The Agency in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, a hundred kilometres south of Sydney.

National director of sales Thomas McGlynn said that acquiring Mr Olofsen’s services is an important win for the company.

“Ben Olofsen joining The Agency creates a significant connection between our Sydney and Southern Highlands clients,” Mr McGlynn said. “There is enormous interest between these two markets and we can now service this demand.

“Ben’s impressive track record in the area and his genuine care for his clients mean he is the perfect fit for The Agency and the agent we needed on board.”

Mr McGlynn also said that Mr Olofsen holds “an impressive footprint” across the region.

“For example, on the first of this month, Ben sold three properties, a $700,000 house in Sutton Forest, a $1.15 million home in Mittagong and a $3.25 million house in Bowral.

“This ability to provide a high level of service to the entire market is an impressive attribute, as is Ben’s dedication to his clients.”

Mr McGlynn added that the Southern Highlands has experienced “extraordinary” price growth over the last five years, mainly due to interest from Sydney buyers looking for a change.

“The premium market has risen by 76 per cent over the last five years, with a median house price of $1 million in the Wingecarribee Shire,” the sales director said.

“And over the last decade, the property values in the Southern Highlands have increased by 70.4 per cent.”

Mr Olofsen said that the move is an important step in his career progression.

“It was clear that the brand provided me with the perfect platform to provide my clients with the highest level of professionalism and commitment, while accessing the databases of the highest performing agents in Sydney,” the agent said.

“The Agency model allows me flexibility to tailor the most effective sales strategies specific to each client’s property and their individual needs.”

Mr Olofsen added that he is personally invested in the region.

“Having grown up in Bowral and now living locally with my family, I am truly passionate about the local community.

“With my four children, I am heavily involved in the local sporting groups and a committee member for the BDCU Children’s Foundation.”

He also said that his approach is very straightforward.

“I am purely client-focused, people come first. Transparency, honesty and my local knowledge allow me to service the Southern Highlands community to the highest standards,” Mr Olofsen said.

“This is not just a transaction for me; it is a commitment to achieving the best possible results for my clients.”
