Boasting one of the top clearance rates on the lower north shore, another top-performing agent has teamed up with The Agency in Sydney.

Twenty-year industry veteran Scott Thornton will join the fast-paced network and will be working with his wife, Jade.

Mr Thornton has operated in the Mosman, Neutral Bay and Cremorne Point suburbs of Sydney over the last two decades.

He said that he was attracted to The Agency because of its authenticity and shared values.

“There were no smoke and mirrors. It is about servicing the clients in the best possible way,” the agent said.

“The journey I have been on in my career is to find a business that is connected to my core values. With The Agency evolving, it felt like I had come back home to a place that was so energising and progressive, and humble and authentic in its offering.”

Mr Thornton added that change is happening quickly, pushing both brands and agents to be more agile and tech-savvy than ever.

“We are in such an interesting time; we are evolving as a city, as a landscape and as an industry,” Mr Thornton said.

“I think we are going through huge change and that’s exciting. To be a part of a company that is connected in understanding that change, means we can service our clients in the best possible way.”

Mr Thornton intends to expand his team under the new brand.

“We take pride in the fact that we are able to provide consistent results for our clients and we work closely with them to achieve their goals.

“I think it’s about having a skill set that enables us to provide our clients with a sense of security, making sure we understand their current situation.”

The Agency CEO Matt Lahood said that he is thrilled to have Mr and Mrs Thornton on board.

“Scott and Jade are immensely talented and we are so excited to have them on the team,” the CEO said.

“They are also very well known and respected in their local area.”

He said that they will add immense value to the network.

“An agent’s database and professional network are an important part of the service they provide, and Scott has achieved a successful off-market record through his connections. This includes architects, bankers, local business owners and his client database.”

The Agency national sales director Thomas McGlynn said that in the “new age”, agents require a broad skill set and an innovative approach.

“Scott is a dynamic agent who is always developing and expanding his abilities.

“He is consistently exploring new ways of doing business — he has that energy and drive. Along with these successful traits, he operates with integrity and exhibits great leadership qualities.”
