One international network has announced the opening of its second Sydney northern beaches office as part of its broader strategic metro expansion plan.

RE/MAX has announced the opening of an office in the rapidly expanding town centre of Dee Why under the direction of business owners Jason Martin and Nicholas Scarf. It is their second northern beaches location.

The new Dee Why office, when combined with the existing Narrabeen office, extends their reach from Brookvale to Newport in one of Sydney’s most sought-after property geographies.

RE/MAX Australia franchise director Joel Davoren welcomed the move, given the existing and planned development in Dee Why.

He said that the area has several large residential projects due for completion in the next 24 months, comprising hundreds of high-quality new units.

“Dee Why presented an exciting business opportunity for two of our top broker owners to open their second office in the middle of the burgeoning town centre in the booming northern beaches,” the director said.

Mr Davoren added that the Sydney market is changing.

“There’s enough heat coming out of the market to create increasing numbers of listings.

“And while we are seeing an easing off of buyer demand in some areas of Sydney, there’s no dramatic fall-off.”

Mr Davoren said that the northern beaches is one of several growth areas RE/MAX is targeting.

RE/MAX was in the news recently after ranking fifth in this year’s Franchise 500 ranking by Entrepreneur.

Co-CEO of RE/MAX Adam Contos said at the time that the result, while terrific, was unsurprising.

“Nobody in the world sells more real estate than RE/MAX as measured by residential transaction sides,” the Co-CEO said.

Entrepreneur continues to rank us higher than our competitors, and that’s because of the unmatched quality of the real estate professionals in the RE/MAX network.”

Mr Contos said that owners and agents want to be affiliated with the “number one name in real estate” because of the brand awareness and competitive advantage it offers them.

RE/MAX ranked fifth overall and first among all real estate franchises.

RE/MAX started as a single office in Denver in 1973, and it now has more than 115,000 sales associates in more than 100 countries and territories.
