One of Australia’s fastest growing national brands is opening a new office in Melbourne, marking its 20th new office in six months.
Raine & Horne is opening an office in Craigieburn in Melbourne’s north, led by Gerry Verma and Terry Singh.
Mr Singh and Mr Verma have both worked in sales before recently making the jump across to real estate and deciding to start a business.
“We began looking at different groups, and we were attracted to Raine & Horne because it has an impeccable name, offers excellent support and has many good people such as Randolph leading its team,” Mr Singh said.
Randolph Clements, managing director of Raine & Horne Victoria, said that the opening is vital to the brand’s expansion.
“Craigieburn is strategically vital to our expansion as it is now a suburb to watch after being overlooked by owner-occupiers and investors for many years,” Mr Clements said.
Mr Clements added that expanded shopping precincts are an excellent sign that significant retailers believe a suburb or region has growth potential.
“Raine & Horne has identified the region as a major Melbourne growth hub, and we are delighted that Terry and Gerry have agreed to establish a beach head in this critical market for our business,” the MD said.
The proximity to the Tullamarine Airport is another major factor in the suburb’s appeal, according to Mr Clements.
“Craigieburn is not far from Campbellfield, which is a major centre for many transport companies who need to be close to the airport. The proliferation of nearby transport businesses is creating work for residents living in Craigieburn,” the MD said.
The suburb’s proximity to the airport coupled with its relative affordability is helping to attract Sydney downsizers to the suburb, according to Mr Singh.
“The median house price in Craigieburn is $525,000. So, downsizers can sell a small house in Sydney and buy a property in Craigieburn to live in and another house as an investment asset,” the agent said.
“By being close to the airport, new Craigieburn residents can easily get back to visit friends and family in Sydney.”
