The Ray White Group has no less than 12 finalists in the 2018 REB Awards, including for the heavyweight category Major Network of the Year – 40 or More Offices.

For the third year running, the Ray White Group has been named as a finalist in the major network category, which it has won for the last two years.

Group chairman Brian White said that growth is the oxygen for the business.

“Growth may be in our DNA, but our purpose is to provide the best environment for our agents to thrive in,” Mr White said.

“We are not interested in getting bigger for the sake of it; we seek to attract quality leaders and market share.”

Mr White said that the group, with more than 1,000 offices in its international network, sold a record $45 billion worth of property last year.

He said that the business was born 116 years ago in a tin shed and has grown to hold a very unique place in Australian corporate history.

Three of Ray White’s biggest and most successful offices — Ray White Double Bay, Ray White New Farm and Ray White Balwyn — are vying for the hotly contested award of Sales Office of the Year – Metropolitan.

Ray White Balwyn picked up four finalist nominations, Ray White Double Bay collected three and Ray White New Farm received two.

New to the Ray White Group, Vivien Yap of Ray White Dalkeith – Claremont has been nominated for Sales Agent of the Year.

Ray White Aspley Group business development manager Wayde Hildrew is a finalist in the BDM of the Year – Property Management category.

REB managing editor Tim Neary said that the awards were the biggest event of the year in Australian real estate and the benchmark for success.

“It is a great way to recognise the industry’s high-performance agents, property managers, BDMs and businesses, those who are able to flourish in the face of the industry’s ongoing challenges,” Mr Neary said.

Mr Neary added that the REB Awards recognises and rewards those who are driving real estate in Australia into the future.

The winners will be announced at The Star, Sydney, on Thursday, 19 July 2018.
