Two AFL stars are swapping their yellow and brown guernseys for suits when they join the real estate industry this year, after signing with one of the country’s fastest-growing networks.
The two sportsmen, Liam Shiels and Ryan Schoenmakers from the Hawthorn Hawks, are set to join One Agency in the off season.
Liam Shiels, vice-captain of the Hawthorn Hawks, has three consecutive premierships under his belt and will be joining in the agency’s mortgage brokerage division.
Ryan Schoenmakers, who has one premiership under his belt, will specialise in finance for first home buyers, investors and small buyers while continuing to play.
Principal and business owner Vass Spiroglu welcomed the two new members to Once Agency and was excited to see the benefit they would bring.
“We are delighted that he’s [Mr Shiels] chosen to join us, where I know he will add value within the business and on behalf of his clients,” Mr Spiroglu said.
Speaking of Mr Schoenmakers, Mr Spiroglu said that the player would bring his winning attitude to the business.
“It’s this application, drive to improve and deliver consistent results that will see Ryan quickly attain market-leading success on behalf of his clients and ensure they are able to purchase the property of their dreams,” Mr Spiroglu said.
One Agency opened its rebranded doors in Longbeach after formerly being apart of the LJ Hooker group.
Mr Spiroglu said that what One Agency could offer him was what he was looking for in his business, adding that he was excited to join the group.
“The appeal of the brand, marketing tools plus online technology platforms on offer is remarkable and the best part is no more reporting or having to pay franchise fees,” the principal said.
One Agency’s head of Australasian membership, John Stewart, was looking forward to what Mr Spiroglu and his team would bring to the One Agency family.
