A South Australian auctioneer has been announced as the top auctioneer in the state for the fourth time in a row.

Toop & Toop Real Estate’s Bronte Manuel was announced as the REISA’s top auctioneer at a gala function and will represent South Australia at the Australasian Auctioneering Championships in October.

Mr Manuel will join Simon Jones from Harcourts Plus, who came second, at the championships to be held in New Zealand.

CEO of REISA Greg Troughton said that it was a fantastic achievement for both auctioneers, adding that it was a great competition by all who competed.

“What a spectacular result for Bronte — four wins in a row is a remarkable achievement. All the contestants did themselves and South Australia proud this year,” the CEO said.

Mr Troughton added that he was pleased by the newcomers to the competition and how far some of them got.

“I was thrilled to see many new faces competing this year, and well done to Sharon Gray for making the finals this year — surely not the last time we will see her or any of the other contestants in action in the future,” the CEO said.

Mr Troughton said that REISA took great pride in their championships and said that it was as professional and transparent as it could be.

“It is judged by a panel of interstate judges, all under the experienced eye of our chief judge, Jonathon Moore,” the CEO said.

The REISA also gave away a scholarship award to Vincent Doran from Underdale High School. Mr Troughton said that he was one to watch.

“Mark my words, this is one to watch in the future,” the CEO said.

Mr Manuel and Mr Jones will join Daniel Harris and Karl Secondis from the Northern Territory, Clarence White and Stuart Ritchie from NSW and Luke Banitsiotis and Michael Wood from Victoria at the Australasian Auctioneering Championships on 14–16 October 2018 in Auckland, New Zealand.

“We look forward to Bronte and Simon banging the gavel for South Australia in October,” Mr Troughton said.
