LJ Hooker’s digital leadership in real estate was recognised, among a trio of honours, at last week’s REB Awards, the industry’s pre-eminent award celebrations.

LJ Hooker won the influential Digital Presence of the Year category for a remarkable third successive year.

It was one of three accolades for the network. LJ Hooker Nerang was named Regional Sales Office of the Year, and Roberto Bonomi of LJ Hooker St Peters/Glynde/Adelaide City was named the industry’s Rising Star.

LJ Hooker network chief Graeme Hyde said that digital innovation has been at the core of LJ Hooker’s priorities for several years.

He said that the last 12 months have proved a “seminal” period for the network, after it launched its million-dollar digital strategy, LJ Hooker Boost, in August 2017.

Mr Hyde said that the campaign exceeded expectations.

“We were optimistic of the impact the three-tiered campaign would generate, but it far exceeded expectations.

“It’s another stepping stone in our digital transformation and uncovered so many insights into how real estate can better engage with the digitally savvy marketplace. We’re ecstatic it’s been recognised by our network, our customers, and now the wider industry.”

It was the second year in a row in which LJ Hooker Nerang received a nod from the REB judging panel, with principal Shane Colquhoun last year being named Regional Franchise Owner of the Year.

Mr Colquhoun said that he was thrilled with the result.

“It’s a huge honour for our team to be recognised as the best sales agency outside a metropolitan area. Much of our business is generated by referrals, which are generated by our commitment to customer service and innovative digital marketing strategies.

“We have a collaborative culture at LJ Hooker Nerang, which opens up so many doors for customers who engage us.”

The office’s customer service manager, Emily-Jane Megraw, was also named as a finalist in the Administrator of the Year category.

The network said that Roberto Bonomi has “quickly” made a reputation for himself throughout Adelaide’s competitive inner-city market.

“With a specialist marketing background, Roberto is just as adept at creating online as offline strategies, which offers his customers comprehensive exposure when they go to market.

“Combined with peerless customer service within the inner Adelaide market, the judges said Roberto’s customer offering befits that of a real estate professional with decades more experience.”

As part of Boost, LJ Hooker partnered with digital advertising aggregator Tiger Pistol to promote listings and amplify the profile of agents through Facebook and Instagram.

Generating leads through advanced data targeting, the initiative yielded a spike in enquiries and enhanced the pipelines of agents.

LJ Hooker Boost also includes specialist property domains through its Spotlight feature for effect and SEO purposes. Via ActivePipe, LJ Hooker’s customers received automated content to assist in their property journey.
