DIAKRIT’s management team has bought its majority shareholding from News Corp Australia in a major step forward for the company.

DIAKRIT, a digital marketing company from Sweden, was launched into the Australian market in 2016 with News Corp Australia as its majority shareholder.

The company will now be owned by its three original founders as well as a new management team who will focus on applying the latest technology to the Australian real estate market.

One of the original founders, Dick Karlsson, said that Sweden was their benchmark for real estate experiences and they wanted to bring that to Australia.

“We know the Australian market will greatly benefit from this and [is] ready for what the next level of home buying and selling looks like,” Mr Karlsson said.

DIAKRIT brought to the marketplace a full suite of high-end digital visualisation tools including 360 VR tours, HD and drone videos and furnishing solutions, all to enhance the buying and selling experience.

Mr Karlsson said that the company was looking to utilise the knowledge of the new investors to use these technologies and more to meet the needs of the market.

“Having worked with over 2,000 agent-driven businesses around the world, we understand the pressures and challenges that agents face being expected to perform everything from prospecting, appraisals and selling while still maintaining a high level of customer service,” the founder said.

DIAKRIT in Sweden offers a customer support centre and Mr Karlsson said that they are planning to bring that element of the business to Australia later this year.

“We see the potential to add great value to our partnerships in Australia by providing a central customer support centre that can handle everything,” the founder said.

Jay Morris, director of Sales Australia and New Zealand, said that they already had great partners in the market and their offerings allowed agents to focus on what they do best.

“Agents should be able to focus on what they do best — winning appraisals and selling homes — and with DIAKRIT’s Customer Support Centre, this will enable them to do just that,” Mr Morris said.

DIAKRIT currently works with some of Australia’s leading agencies including Ray White, Stone Real Estate, hockingstuart and realestate.com.au.
