A new breed of real estate agent is coming

Gone are the days of selling real estate; instead, they will be replaced by the latest technological advances, according to one agent.

Aron Korani, founder of LIV Realty, said that the old way of selling has been resisted by many in the industry, but he was planning to change that.

“The old way of selling has always been to meet everyone face-to-face and do the hard sell. I do things opposite. I use technology, data and innovative platforms to match the right property with the right buyer before I even physically get involved,” Mr Korani said.

Mr Korani said that his properties are open for inspection anywhere and anytime, thanks to his incorporation of technology like 3D walkthroughs, video tours and even drone fly-throughs.

“I still remember the day my 3D virtual tour camera system arrived from the USA two years ago. That day, I excitedly pitched the idea of having your home open for virtual inspection to anyone in the world to all of my clients,” the founder said.

The technology has allowed LIV Realty to expand from servicing Sydney’s western suburbs to servicing over 64 suburbs all while bringing costs down, according to Mr Korani.

“I can service more and more properties around NSW, 64 suburbs to be exact. At the same time, costs are coming down, leading to increased savings for the vendors in the form of lower commissions,” Mr Korani said.

Traditional real estate is all going to change and Mr Korani said that he was ready for it.

“I have clients showing me their homes for appraisals on the video app Marco Polo, developers who accept bitcoin for the sale of units, I use translation apps to communicate with people who don’t speak a word of English, I am doing digital market appraisals using many different methods of data mining. Whatever technology the customer requests, I am all in,” the founder said.

Mr Korani also said that he had a frightening prediction for the future of the industry.

“The bittersweet part of these technological advancements is that I see my job becoming extinct in my lifetime,” Mr Korani said.
