LJ Hooker edges out rival in active, profitable Queensland market

The rivalry between the top real estate brands continues as one high-performance team has swapped allegiance and joined LJ Hooker in one of Queensland’s most lucrative markets.

Team Jensen, led by Mark Jensen, an elite performer at Ray White Palm Beach in 2016, is the latest addition to LJ Hooker Palm Beach as the agency scales up to accommodate the southern Gold Coast’s rising profile.

With support from wife Robyne and daughter Melissa, Mr Jensen qualified in three of the last five years in the top 5 per cent of all Ray White real estate professionals. Last year, Mr Jensen was also named in the Queensland A List.

The Mark Jensen team joins LJ Hooker as interest in the southern Gold Coast market continues to grow. According to CoreLogic, Palm Beach’s median house price rose by 9.4 per cent to $820,000 over the last 12 months, positioning it as one of the Gold Coast’s most competitive markets. Across the M1 at Elanora, houses rose by 6.3 per cent, $680,000 median, while units increased by 8.3 per cent, $392,500 median.

LJ Hooker state director Stephen Mutton said that the Jensens were the latest industry leaders to recognise the rejuvenated brand’s ability to propel their business goals.

“LJ Hooker’s multi-faceted transformation is allowing specialists like Mark and his family the platform to reach new levels,” Mr Mutton said.

“Mark has reinforced his position among the Gold Coast best property specialists, but like any elite performer, he has the drive to break new ground. He sees LJ Hooker and the Palm Beach team as being the gateway for that.”

Owner of LJ Hooker Palm Beach Daniel Alexander said that he was pleased to have the Jensen team on board.
