Raine & Horne has recommitted to delivering its industry-leading real estate services to the Central Coast with the launch of a new office in East Gosford.

Led by one of Central Coast real estate’s foremost husband and wife teams, Geoff and Sue Tilden, the new office will have a leadership team that includes former Westpac people and culture consultant Katie Tilden, and marketing specialist Kristian Bingham.

Mr Bingham, who enjoyed a stint with Raine & Horne Mosman in Sydney, has a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and Ms Tilden has a master’s degree in human resource management & industrial relations.

Ms Tilden is Raine & Horne’s 2018 National Rookie of the Year for Property Management and will lead the property management team. Mr Bingham will be responsible for sales.

Executive chairman Angus Raine said that the new office follows a long Raine & Horne tradition in the area.

“Raine & Horne has been selling Central Coast property for many generations and we now employ hundreds of sales, property management and administrative staff across 14 offices stretching from Umina on the southern peninsula to Lake Macquarie in the region’s north,” the executive chairman said.

“Some of our long-established offices on the Central Coast are family businesses that are now led by second-generation principals such as Katie and Kristian, who are 30 or under, which is very satisfying for me as some of these offices have been with us for many years.”

Mr Raine said that the new opening is strategically important to the group.

“This passing of the baton to exciting, and energetic young business leaders such as Katie and Kristian not only guarantee business continuity for Raine & Horne, but means our offices are led by young professionals who are fully immersed in every aspect of our brand, the real estate industry and are well known to their local communities.”

Geoff and Susan Tilden originally launched Raine & Horne Gosford in 2011.

Mr Tilden said that growth drove the decision to establish a second office in the East Gosford region.

“We’ve been consistently focused on expanding our rent roll for many years now, and with Katie and Kristian joining the business, it gave us the opportunity to establish an office in East Gosford to better service that region,” Mr Tilden explained.

Capacity

Mrs Tilden said that bringing Katie Tilden and Mr Bingham into the business allowed them to expand.

“With Geoff running sales at Gosford, and me overseeing property management, it would have been a stretch to open another office,” she said.

“We’ve seen too many businesses get into trouble where principals spread themselves too thin.”

Mr Bingham said that the Raine & Horne brand is highly trusted.

“The history associated with the group is central to the decision to open an office in East Gosford.

“It’s the trust and the equity the brand has built over the last 135 years that ensures vendors call us into an appraisal meeting when they decide to sell their house. The history of the company is unique and very significant to us.”

Katie Tilden said that the fit with Raine & Horne is a good one.

“The fact that family business principals are at the core of Raine & Horne, and the fact that the Raine family is still at the helm after 135 years, really resonates with our family.

“The Raine & Horne brand generates a lot of goodwill within our community and we are an active part of numerous clubs and charities.”
