Purplebricks has announced the appointment of a high-profile industry professional to head up its sales operation in Australia, particularly charged with growing the business in all of its target markets.

Sean Green has joined Purplebricks as national sales manager, after an expansive career in the industry spanning more than 20 years, most recently with LJ Hooker in its corporate office. Prior to this, Mr Green was with Century 21 and Raine & Horne.

Global COO Neil Tavender said that this was an important step forward for the business.

“We are really excited that Sean has come over,” the COO added.

“He will be managing our sales operation, our local real estate agents, our call center and also our training.”

Mr Tavender said that Purplebricks was gearing up for growth in Australia.

“What we have done as a business in the last 12 weeks is really had a good look at our business and our model.

“It would be widely known that we have changed our model as at 1 October, where we have a best-in-class marketing package. And with that new offering, we have a new commission structure for our local real estate agents.

“They can now earn commission on a listing and they can also earn on settlement, so we have almost doubled their income. So, a good local real estate agent will earn in excess of $100,000 and a really good agent will earn $130,000 to $150,000.”

Mr Green’s appointment is effective immediately.
