Professionals Real Estate has made a senior appointment to beef up its sales capability in its Western Australia business as it cements its move to a centralised, national structure.

Bill Atkinson has joined Professionals in the role of business development executive for WA.

CEO David Crombie said that Mr Atkinson has extensive industry experience.

He said that Mr Atkinson has worked with Professionals in WA previously in the role of operations and inline media manager.

“Since leaving the group, Bill has worked as the WA state manager for Century 21, agent sales manager for rent.com.au and more recently as a practising agent at Davey Real Estate and Blackburne Property Group in WA.”

Mr Crombie said that Mr Atkinson rejoins the group at a very exciting time.

“The recent move to a centralised, national structure and operation will allow for the better delivery of initiatives and servicing of the members,” the CEO said.

“Bill will be part of the national business development team and his focus will be the growth of the Professionals brand in Western Australia and assisting the member services team with delivery of services to members.”

Earlier, Professionals revealed that it has contributed more than $3.3 million to support breast cancer research in its capacity as a partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mr Crombie said that Professionals’ offices donate a portion of their commission from each property sale and hold fundraising events throughout the year.

“October is a special month at Professionals, with an NBCF marketing pack provided to all of our offices to use in their marketing in support of NBCF,” the CEO said.

Mr Crombie said that there was a limited research budget in Australia, with many researchers competing for the same funding.

“This means [that] a lot of high-quality research simply doesn’t get funded, unless that funding comes from the community.

“That’s why Professionals has had such a long-standing relationship with NBCF, because we are both looking to change breast cancer outcomes for patients and their families.”
