One of Australia’s largest networks has recruited an experienced Sunshine Coast real estate professional, as it delivers on its strategic expansion plans for the growing Queensland market.
Roy Philpott has joined the Professionals network, rebranding his Kings Beach office as Professionals on the Coast Realty.
Mr Philpott said that his plan is to build on his team of four in the year ahead.
He said that there is much activity on the Sunshine Coast at the moment.
“It’s growing rapidly and we’re ready to grow with it through the support of the Professionals group,” he said.
Mr Philpott has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry.
“I worked with Professionals many years ago, so I know the brand well and I like it a lot because it’s a network rather than a franchise,” he said.
“That means the agency principals themselves have a say in how their business operates, and we’ve already seen the benefits of this after just a few short weeks.
“Being part of the Professionals network gives our sales and property management team the kind of support that was previously unavailable to us as an independent agency.”
Mr Philpott said that Professionals gives him greater reach.
“Not only does the Professionals network provide us with access to a broader range of buyers across the group, but also sellers,” Mr Philpott said.
“This is the quality of support that is central to our plans to grow the business and improve the quality of services that we offer.”
Mr Philpott said that after a solid sales period over December, the Sunshine Coast property market has started the new year well.
“The rental market has been very strong,” he said.
“We’re averaging about 12 inquiries a week for rental properties and we’re always looking for more to add to our books to meet that demand.”
Mr Philpott has high ambitions for the interstate buyer trend.
“Many of our interstate buyers are relocating to the Sunshine Coast for lifestyle reasons, but there are more jobs here as well, including opportunities at the new hospital, which is bringing a broad range of buyers and renters to the region.”
Professionals CEO David Crombie said that he was pleased to welcome Mr Philpott and his office to the network.
“The Sunshine Coast is a growing market and we are looking to increase our presence in the area,” Mr Crombie said.
“I believe the addition of Professionals on the Coast Realty to our network will help further build our brand presence in the region.”
