One Ray White office in a sought-after Brisbane suburb has recruited a known high performer to its sales team, as it accelerates its growth ambitions in the rising area.

Ray White Bridgeman Downs | Albany Creek has appointed James Gwynne and his tea, Mary Camus and Myles Payne, to its business on Brisbane’s north side.

Principals Wayne and Sonya Treloar said that they were thrilled to welcome Mr Gwynne and his team to their family business.

“It’s been so exciting to have James and his team join us. James has brought so much with him and we cannot wait to help him and support his ambitions,” Mr Treloar said.

“We love James’ energy and passion plus he’s got strong family values, which is at the heart of the whole Ray White Group.”

Mr Gwynne said that it is positive move for him and his team.

“I’m the same familiar face that my clients know, now just at a bigger and better brand. I have always serviced Albany Creek and my market share has always been in that suburb, so now I am working in the suburb too,” he said.

Mr Gwynne said that he wanted to work with Sonya Treloar as she was “kicking some big goals”.

“I feel inspired by Sonya’s success and wanted to join her and now I am wearing yellow now. I feel right at home now,” he said.

Mr Gwynne said that he went all-in when he began in real estate in 2015.

“I didn’t take a part-time approach and I just worked hard,” he said.

“I always say ‘do the thing and you will have the power’, which means if you do something and take ownership of it, then you’ll have the power, whatever that is. So, when I started working in real estate, I didn’t know one single person in Albany Creek, so I door-knocked and got to know the area and built relationships.”

Mr Gwynne said that he had no leads or data when he started, but he wasn’t deterred.

“I didn’t know any other way. I believe you cannot teach what you don’t know and you cannot lead where you won’t go.”

Mr Gwynne played semi-pro rugby union in New Zealand, Argentina, America and England prior to starting in real estate.
