Niche Victorian network Buxton has reimagined its suburb report to set a new data and search benchmark, as it undertakes to enhance the buying and selling process in its key markets.

The interactive site was developed in conjunction with CoreLogic and HomePrezzo.

Buxton CEO Nathan Jones said the platform goes beyond others on the market, providing users with the ability to drill down into micro-suburbs and neighbourhoods.

Mr Jones said that Buxton has been providing clients with this level of information in printed format since the ’90s.

He said this digital evolution provides users with a more accessible way to digest key property data.

“These micro-suburbs, pockets and neighbourhoods have been created by us to accurately reflect the various price points throughout our core marketplaces in Victoria spanning over 130 suburbs.

“For instance, the estimated value of homes on Brighton’s Golden Mile is very different to those bordering Brighton East. Most marketplace reports bundle these together and provide suburb level data, which is misleading and doesn’t provide people with the information they want.”

Mr Jones said that modernising the report was vital to the ongoing growth of the business.

“We’re a company that has over 150 years of real estate experience, so naturally, we have to continue evolving to maintain our reputation as leaders in the Victorian market.

“We understand not everyone has ‘gone digital’, and for those people we will still produce this report in printed format; however, the vast majority of traffic will be to our website launched this month.”
