Belle Property has developed a Facebook-hosted training and coaching program to help new agents bridge the gap between registration and commencing their career.

Developed by Belle Property’s Academy Advantage training department, the bespoke training program, Fast-Track, is geared towards agents with less than 12 months of experience and covers prospecting, building a database and maintaining database health.

Belle Property head of sales and business development Nick Boyd said the program is design to fill a gap.

“One of the major weaknesses of the real estate industry is its high rate of turnover in staff, and a lot of this change is due to a lack of opportunities for career growth and untailored, or non-existent, onboarding processes,” he said.

“Through the Fast-Track program, we are acknowledging the steep learning curve from registration to starting in the industry, and providing our new agents with the tools, skills and support they need to build their career and get runs on the board from day one.”

Mr Boyd said that Fast-Track is an eight-week intensive coaching program that is delivered through Facebook, via small groups of up to five participants.

He said a dedicated coach leads the weekly group sessions.

“We wanted to conduct the training on Facebook, so it was accessible from all over the country, and on a medium that our young agents are already using and extremely familiar with. The less barriers to entry, the better,” Mr Boyd said.

“By the end of the program, every participant will have a solid database to work from, and the skills to keep it growing. Plus, because the program is conducted on Facebook groups, it facilitates ongoing peer-to-peer learning and allows for 24/7 live feedback and support.”

Mr Boyd said Belle Property’s Academy training program was relaunched in 2018.

“In 2018, we re-launched our entire training portfolio under Academy Advantage because we acknowledged that one size does not fit all and our network required a different set of skills and tools given the more challenging environment the industry faced,” he said.

“Developing our people is critical to Belle Property’s strategy of staying ahead in the industry and we listen to what our network needs. They need simple and meaningful training solutions, delivered on mediums that suit them, like Facebook, which they can access on their phone, on the run and virtually at any time they need.”
