With submissions for the Real Estate Business Awards 2019 closing tomorrow, previous winners have spoken of the immense impact being victorious has had on their competitive edge and the growth of their brands.
Submissions close tomorrow, Friday, 28 June, for the most sought-after business awards for the real estate industry in Australia.
REB editor Tim Neary said the interest in the awards this year has been unprecedented, particularly in two of the more enlightened categories: Training and Education of the Year and Wellness Advocate of the Year.
“This is an encouraging trend,” he said.
“It is indicative of the enthusiasm with which real estate professionals are embracing the forward-thinking direction the industry is moving in.”
The awards have fast become the benchmark of success for Australian real estate, a standard endorsed by previous winners.
Alex Lambros of LJ Hooker Home Loans eastern suburbs, who previously won the Residential Mortgage Broker of the Year award, said winning it has given his business “terrific credibility”.
“To be able to explain to clients that we have been recognised at a national level in a highly competitive environment is a real advantage,” he added.
“Because we are so heavily affiliated with real estate, it was a great award for us to win. We are in a referral-based business, and so winning the award gives others something to describe us with and to also give you that point of difference. Everyone likes to be affiliated with an award winner.”
Mr Lambros called the REB Awards the “award of awards” for the real estate industry.
Cherie Humel and Michael Clarke are husband and wife principals of Clarke & Humel, which is a previous winner in the Sales Office of the Year – Metropolitan category.
Ms Humel said that winning the award “means everything” to her and Mr Clarke — and to their business.
“Because we work so hard and it is an industry that we put our heart and soul into, and we are rewarded for every step of the way.”
She also said that the award means a great deal for all of the Clarke & Humel staff members.
This year’s black-tie event will be held on Thursday, 12 September, at The Star in Sydney.
Submissions are still open, but be quick as the window closes tomorrow, 28 June.
