After an independent inquiry into a complaint laid against Coogee agent Adrian Bo, McGrath has terminated his contract.
Last month, McGrath confirmed to Real Estate Business it was investigating a complaint made against Mr Bo.
Mr Bo allegedly made crude comments to a male staff member, and a source told The Daily Telegraph “the colleague was really disturbed by [the alleged incident]”.
“Initially, [he] didn’t want anyone to find out, but felt he had to complain about the comment made outside an office,” the source said.
“They have to work in the same team and the relationship became strained.”
Mr Bo denied the allegations and took leave during the investigation.
Real Estate Business contacted Mr Bo, and he said he has been advised not to comment.
After this complaint was received, McGrath carried out a thorough and independent inquiry to investigate the claims against Mr Bo.
As a result, it terminated his contract.
“The company takes its responsibilities of promoting inclusion and workplace safety seriously and will not tolerate breaches of its code of conduct by its contractors or staff members,” McGrath CEO Geoff Lucas said.
“I am personally committed to ensuring we have an environment that treats all workplace participants fairly and with respect.”
However, some are split about the investigation in Mr Bo’s alleged actions.
“This is a crap set-up,” Geoff Luby wrote on Real Estate Business’ Facebook page. “Adrian Bo is a gentleman and one of Sydney’s best agents and trainers.”
While another commenter on the Real Estate Business website believed it was time Mr Bo got pulled up on his behaviour.
