REB Awards 2020 reb

Whether you want to shine a light on your own achievements, those of a colleague or your business, have you got your nominations in yet for this year’s REB Awards?

Since 2013, the REB Awards has celebrated Australia’s best of the best in real estate sales and property management.

With the uncharted territory uncovered by the COVID-19 crisis, we all can do with something to celebrate.

That’s why we’re charging ahead with a live broadcast event on 25 June, because it feels more important than ever to recognise the outstanding work and contributions of Australia’s real estate industry to both their local communities and society more broadly.

Whether your agency, brand or network has created a campaign worthy of Marketing and Digital Campaign of the Year or Sales Campaign of the Year, could be recognised for Social and Community Service Program of the Year, or has pioneered upskilling in a way that deserves to be Training and Education Program of the Year, we want to see it!

We also understand the importance of shining a light on every tier of the industry, which we aim to do by recognising Major Independent of the Year – 4 or More Offices and Boutique Network of the Year – 39 or Less Offices, all the way through to Major Network of the Year – 40 or More Offices.

For Andrew Coronis, the managing director of Queensland’s Coronis, the 2019 winner of Major Independent of the Year, nominating for that category last year came about because Coronis “wanted to highlight the incredible work and effort” of its team during a “trying” 2018.

He said events such as the REB Awards “provide a wonderful opportunity for applicants to reflect on what they have done in the previous 12 months, take stock and think about what they could achieve in the future”.

“Winning Major Independent of the Year certainly provided a boost to the team’s confidence and a real sense of pride,” he commented.

From the managing director’s perspective, “it’s important to keep momentum going within the team, and if they can see their joint efforts are being recognised by the wider industry, it motivates them even more and makes them feel special”.

“Additionally, after we won the 2018 Training Program of the Year, we had more candidates referencing the win in their job applications and interviews,” he continued.

“It proved to be a great recruiting tool, especially in attracting new-to-industry agents to the business as it highlighted we had a solid training program in place that would teach them what they needed to know and set them up for a successful career.”

Nominations for this year’s awards will remain open until 15 May.
