A boutique franchise group has launched a new Employee Assistance Program to help with staff wellbeing.
OBrien Real Estate has rolled out EAP Assist, a complimentary and confidential counselling service that provides staff with support in both their professional and personal lives. Common issues include workplace conflicts like bullying as well as personal issues such as depression, anxiety, gambling and domestic violence.
OBrien general manager Jason Mudford said the agency’s family-focused approach will be bolstered by the new EAP.
“Family is the number one company value of our organisation and our purpose is ‘to create a place where we can facilitate our people’s growth’, and being able to support both our franchisees and all people through the network with such a program fits perfectly with our dynamics,” Mr Mudford said.
“During the course of the last two years, people are having to manage more workplace and homelife stress brought on by more difficult market conditions like the royal commission, bushfires and now COVID-19, and the need for a professional program has become mandatory for our company.
“EAP Assist counsellors are highly experienced and our corporate team have learnt through first-hand experience with similar programs that supporting and treating the issues assists not only the employer with absenteeism and productivity, but also the employee along with higher job satisfaction and better general health and wellbeing.”
