In an effort to better represent its membership base, the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) has announced a formal diversity policy.

REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said the new policy aims to reflect and acknowledge the importance of diversity within the institute and the broader community in WA.

The new policy will see the institute seek to maintain the following:

  • At least 40 per cent female representation
  • At least 40 per cent male representation
  • At least 20 per cent discretionary representation among council and the REIWA’s executive management staff

In addition to gender diversity, the REIWA will also aim to diversify across a range of factors, including age, ability and education, family status, religion and ethnic or national origin.

“Western Australia is a diverse and varied state and one we are very proud to be part of,” Mr Pozzi said.
